Oh my... I was expecting Kung Fu Hip Hop to be a mildly entertaining exploitative mash-up. What I got was even less. A middle-aged and mildly retarded auto mechanic played by Jordan Chan faces off against a 20-something Korean with a bleach job in a King Of The Dance Floor competition. Drab locations in Beijing remain drab and depressing in spite of the Mercedes roadster parked in the middle of the scene. Alarming Pepsi product placements seem calculated to embarrass American viewers.

The auto repair shop with no visible tools may be a subtle commentary on the state of... Nah, the director just had no idea what an auto repair shop looks like.

If the idea of cameo appearances by Chinese athletes teaching dance moves to a 40 year old club kid sounds like your cup of tea, by all means see this film.
